Frequently asked questions
Is a 24V parking AC more efficient than 12V?
Per watt of cooling, electrical losses are lower at 24V because current is halved. For European and Australian heavy trucks already running 24V, a 24V parking AC is the correct match and avoids voltage conversion losses.
Can a 24V parking AC be used on a 12V vehicle?
Only with a 12V to 24V DC-DC converter, which we generally do not recommend. For 12V chassis, specify a 12V Vethy unit instead.
Do you supply units for European E-mark compliance?
Yes. Rooftop and split units can be supplied with ECE R10 EMC compliance and CE marking. Confirm the target market when requesting a quote.
What is the warranty on a 24V parking AC?
Standard warranty is 24 months on the unit and 36 months on the BLDC twin-rotor compressor. Extended warranty is available for fleet contracts.
