A lower cabin temperature does not by itself describe humidity comfort. If a cab feels cool but clammy, record temperature and relative humidity together, then review the operating pattern, airflow and moisture entering the space.

Start with a record of the symptom

Note when the discomfort occurs: immediately after startup, later in the rest period, after doors open or only during wet weather. Record the selected mode and setpoint, occupants and any wet clothing or other moisture sources. Use the same sensor positions across observations.

Relative humidity depends on temperature, so do not interpret an isolated percentage without its temperature reading. Keep the observations together rather than comparing values taken at different times and locations as if the conditions were identical.

Check operation and airflow

Observe whether the unit runs continuously, changes output or repeatedly cycles. Review the selected mode against the manufacturer's instructions. Check accessible filters and openings using the documented maintenance procedure; obstructed circulation can affect the distribution of conditioned air.

Do not assume that lowering the setpoint as far as possible will solve the issue. It can change energy use and perceived comfort without addressing the moisture source or the cause of poor circulation. A bigger unit is also not an automatic solution.

Distinguish normal condensate from an indoor leak

A refrigerant air conditioner can remove moisture by condensation when operating conditions allow. The resulting water needs the intended drainage path. Water appearing inside the cab requires an installation or service inspection; it should not be dismissed as proof that the unit is dehumidifying effectively.

Have qualified service personnel investigate concealed drains, refrigeration components or electrical faults. Avoid drilling drain openings or changing the installed arrangement without the unit-specific instructions.

Prepare a useful service request

Send the model identifier, temperature-and-humidity record, photographs of the installed layout and a description of operating behavior. Explain whether cooling performance has changed over time and whether the problem follows a particular weather pattern.

For a new fleet purchase, include humidity observations and drainage checks in the sample trial. Agree on the desired cabin outcome under representative conditions. This produces a more complete comfort assessment than recording the lowest temperature seen at an outlet.

Next step

Compare the available configurations in the Vethy product catalog, then request the current model-specific documentation before selecting a unit.
