CUSTOM VEHICLE HVAC / SYSTEM INTEGRATION

Your vehicle.
A connected HVAC design.

From cabin comfort targets to vehicle integration. Work with VETHY to define the HVAC design around your application, operating conditions and development needs.

Start with the cabin.
Design the system.

Your vehicle platform sets the brief: the people inside, the operating conditions and the space available. Bring those requirements to VETHY to discuss a cabin HVAC concept, an integration challenge or the redesign of an existing installation.

HVAC DESIGN / VEHICLE INTEGRATION

Comfort is a
system decision.

Cooling and heating duty, air distribution, mechanical packaging and controls need to work together. We frame the design discussion around these relationships and the vehicle’s actual operating conditions.

  • 01

    Cabin comfort
    & air distribution

Define the occupied zones, cooling and heating targets, ventilation needs and airflow paths. Review the operating climate and duty cycle behind the requirement.

  • 02

    HVAC architecture
    & vehicle packaging

Review the existing or proposed system layout, mounting envelope, service access and connections. An evaporator or heater assembly can be developed within this wider integration scope.

  • 03

    Power, controls
    & interfaces

Clarify electrical supply, existing compressor and heating arrangements, control signals and protection requirements. Agree who owns each interface in the complete vehicle system.

  • 04

    Development
    & evaluation

Set the drawing and sample scope, operating conditions, test responsibilities and acceptance criteria. Agree the evidence required before moving to the next project stage.

Vehicle applications

  • Commercial-vehicle and special-vehicle cabins
  • Bus and shuttle passenger spaces
  • Off-highway operator compartments
  • RV and mobile-living climate requirements

When an integrated assembly makes sense

A vehicle manufacturer may already have a compressor, condenser, controls and ducting. The engineering requirement can therefore be an evaporator or heater assembly that fits that architecture. Its job is defined by the wider refrigerant or heating circuit, airflow resistance, drainage and vehicle interfaces.

When a parking A/C system makes sense

A parking-comfort project calls for a matched air-conditioning configuration and an electrical installation plan. Compare rooftop and split layouts against the cabin space and the available battery supply. A model rating alone does not establish suitability for a different vehicle or operating duty.
